power point presenter view scrolling from touch screen

I just noticed an additional feature of PowerPoint that is not scrolling on the touch screen of my HP Spectre laptop. In addition to the notes no longer scrolling, now I see that in presenter mode when you click on See all slides, the touch screen doesn't move the slides. I have to go to the sidebar on the right and click on the arrows.

Is there any hope of getting these touch screen scrolling features fixed?

These scrolling bugs have greatly diminished the use and effectiveness of PowerPoint.

Giving presentations with lots of notes for technical clarity is going to be a huge pain without the ability to scroll. Most presentations are done in a dimmed room. That means having to look down in the dark to find the little arrows and click on them will be difficult. 

The problem is not with my new laptop. All other programs scroll and work fine with the touch screen.

I've noticed that sometimes when I open up Powerpoint presenter, the notes field on the right side will scroll by using the touch screen, the first time. But, as soon as I change to the next or subsequent slides, the function stops working.

I have an HP Spectre Laptop with a touch screen. Powerpoint notes no longer scrolls when I use the touch screen in presenter mode. The only way to see extended notes is to click on the arrows on the screen with my keyboard. This is a major impairment, I give lectures and rely on touching my screen to scroll to see lengthy notes. This obvious bug is not yet fixed. Also, my laptop is new. I have not tried uninstalling and reinstalling Office since my copy of Office was put on this new laptop a few weeks ago. It is a fresh install. It seems from reading this thread this issue has gone on for quite some time. I noticed it a few months ago on my previous laptop. It would appear the issue is not yet resolved.
