Excel printing and display scaling bug

When printing with Excel, the page layout is being affected by display scaling.  I had it set at 125%.  A spreadsheet that normally prints to 6 pages is trying to print to 9 or 10 pages.  Adjusting the page size in "page break view" does not fix the problem.  This is with the setting, "fit all columns on one page".  If you simply reduce the *print* scaling (by a percentage, instead) until it print on only 6 pages, the sheet appears more narrow than it normally does.

If you simply set the display scaling back to 100%, it fixes the problem.  Display scaling should only change what I see, not how it prints.

Furthermore, checking the box under excel shortcut:  "disable display scaling on high dpi settings" does NOT disable the display scaling for excel like it should.  I had to completely shut it off under display settings to resolve the problem.

Edit:  Added *print* to the scaling option I was referring to.   Please note display scaling setting is in windows and print scaling is in excel.

    I've already submitted OffCAT logs for two different machines.  I submitted four logs, one with intel graphics and one with nvidia for each.  I tried them each with the nvidia cards disabled, rebooted, moved the video cable to the on-board graphics port (or used laptop screen) and used the intel graphics built into the respective CPU's.  In all four instances I had the same problem.  One of the machines only has one monitor to start with. one machines has a consumer card, a nvidia gtx 1070, and the other is a workstation card, a nvidia quadro m1200.

    Hi Matthew,

    I fully understand and appreciate your efforts. I had involved the resources to investigate this before, in fact they are investigating it based on your information.

    The reason I replied again on Jan 1 is that we need to collect system information from our community members who have similar issue to find some clue, which will help us better identify the cause in Excel.

    Similar problem with Excel 365 on Win10. I have 3 screens (main laptop screen scaled 125% and two monitors with 100% scaling). I have to move Excel to the laptop screen in order for printing to work properly. Same exact chart in the same workbook prints off the page when Excel is running on the monitors. I move the program (without closing and reopening or anything) to the main laptop screen and everything prints correctly. Print preview looks correct in all cases, but output on paper or PDF changes.
