Excel printing and display scaling bug

Office 365 x64 ver 1709 (Build 8431.2236 click-torun)

When printing with Excel, the page layout is being affected by display scaling.  I had it set at 125%.  A spreadsheet that normally prints to 6 pages is trying to print to 9 or 10 pages.  Adjusting the page size in "page break view" does not fix the problem.  This is with the setting, "fit all columns on one page".  If you simply reduce the *print* scaling (by a percentage, instead) until it print on only 6 pages, the sheet appears more narrow than it normally does.

If you simply set the display scaling back to 100%, it fixes the problem.  Display scaling should only change what I see, not how it prints.

Furthermore, checking the box under excel shortcut:  "disable display scaling on high dpi settings" does NOT disable the display scaling for excel like it should.  I had to completely shut it off under display settings to resolve the problem.

Edit:  Added *print* to the scaling option I was referring to.   Please note display scaling setting is in windows and print scaling is in excel.

    FYI .. I got a new work laptop with windows 10.  Still has the same problem.

    I just wanted to comment and share that I am experiencing the same issue. This affects every computer in my office. It's rather frustrating because I create many templates in Excel for our staff to use. I usually have my display settings in windows at 125% to help with things being small due to my high resolution display. I cannot create templates while using the 125% setting, because the excel templates will end up printing differently for the users in the office who leave their display setting at 100%.

    Microsoft, please address this issue.

    I'm running the tool on my work computer now.  If it's any consequence, I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled office after I first had this problem, I believe in April.

    I'll try to remember to run it on my home computer later.  I assume more information is better.

    Please use the Office Configuration Analyzer Tool (OffCAT), which provides a detailed report of your installed Office programs.

    Once finished, you can send the log file with us via PM.
