Why does my excel window lag so much when moved around the screen? no other app windows have the problem

I have a laptop, so my workaround has been to change from Logitech Unifying receiver mouse to a Logitech Bluetooth mouse. No USB polling issues, so problem solved for me. I understand that not many desktop PCs would have Bluetooth though.

The fact that no other application from any other software product has this problem, it's purely a microsoft office problem, is disturbing. You'd think they would have this figured out by now.

I was having this lag problem with all Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc) and your suggestion fixed them all. 

If this was a mouse polling or monitor fresh rate issue then it should affect ALL applications right??? Well everything is working properly now and its really not a bad option to keep off and allow the window to show hollow while moving it around, given you can see how the move will merge with other windows/applications. Plus you cant read stuff while you move stuff... Finally the windows do move faster overall so thats another plus!!!

PS I am using a gaming RAZER Choma mouse which had no issues with any other program prior.

The "drag" when moving the Excel window appears to be a position accumulation since the Window falls behind and continues to move after I stop my mouse (new observation). It does appear like extra mouse locations are stored or buffered.

My mouse is a Logitech B100-TAA. I am using DELL laptop. I noticed that the Logitech mouse does exhibit the buffering issue on this DELL, but the trackpad works perfectly. My problem is likely the cooperation between the DELL pointer driver and the Windows mouse driver. I think it is time to give up. At least the problem is not every window, just office.

Excel is programmed to do multi-threaded calculations. But, some things are single threaded.  Other than that I have no access to the innards of Excel.

Submit your problem to MS as a feedback bug report. The more people reporting a problem, and the more clues / insights / symptoms they provide, the more likely MS is to act on the problem and maybe find a solution.
