Microsoft Office 2010 on an XP OS

I've been using  Office 2010 on an XP platform for several years and suddenly receive the following:

"The procedure entry point GetDateFormatEx could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"

Office was loaded on my machine when I received it so I do not have the registration key.

My XP machine is too old to upgrade to a newer OS.

Can anyone give some insight?

How and where do you find the update. I can no longer open any Office programs. I just keep getting the above message(The procedure entry point.......). I put in the original Office CD and selected repair (not install) but it did not correct the problem.

-Open 'Add or Remove programs' from Control Panel

-Check the show updates on the top of window

-Find Office 2010 in the list and find the KB4461522 and KB4462157 updates from its update and remove them.

-Restart the windows.

    Thanks for your help.  I deleted these two files (KB3054873, KB4462174) and the problem was solved.    I did not find the other updates so hopefully no more issues.  Also, went over privacy and security protocols and eliminated and unchecked/checked receiving any future updates.  I didn't see the box where it notifies me prior to installing any updates maybe I missed something.  

    Again, appreciate the help.

    Hi ,

    I checked up the update situation on a few of my XP machines a few days back, just to update myself…  

    I downloaded  some of the   updates which were waiting, ( I have chosen now to be informed of updates so that I can selectively download them)

    Initially  did not download these two , which were waiting: KB3054873, KB4462174. The first I know to kill a lot of things in Excel 2003, ( in all operating systems),  and the second is our latest friend that kills Office 2010 in XP

    Later , I also rechecked all  the 4 updates which we know kill off Office 2010 in XP. KB4461614 , KB4461522 , KB4462157 ,  KB4462174 :-

    I tried reinstalling them on a few machines just to see what happens..

    KB4461522 is no longer available

    KB4461614 still kills off Office 2010 in XP for me, removing it solves the problem

    KB4462174 still kills off Office 2010 in XP for me, removing it solves the problem

    KB4462157  still kills off Office 2010 in XP for me, removing it solves the problem

    I also tried this combination: KB4461614 and KB4462157 . I tried this extra experiment because Microsoft say that one reason for KB4462157 is to fix the problem that Access 2010 and Excel 2010 stop working after installing KB4461614. I found  that the double combination also kills off Office 2010 in XP for me, and removing them  solves the problem

    I'm getting an error message "EnumCalendarInfoExEx could not be located in the dynamic library..." about 24hrs after I installed the software.   I had the product validated by Microsoft and I tried to "repair" the files with a tech which didn't resolve the problem.    Does anyone have a fix for this problem?
