Microsoft Office 2010 on an XP OS

I've been using  Office 2010 on an XP platform for several years and suddenly receive the following:

"The procedure entry point GetDateFormatEx could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll"

Office was loaded on my machine when I received it so I do not have the registration key.

My XP machine is too old to upgrade to a newer OS.

Can anyone give some insight?

How and where do you find the update. I can no longer open any Office programs. I just keep getting the above message(The procedure entry point.......). I put in the original Office CD and selected repair (not install) but it did not correct the problem.

-Open 'Add or Remove programs' from Control Panel

-Check the show updates on the top of window

-Find Office 2010 in the list and find the KB4461522 and KB4462157 updates from its update and remove them.

-Restart the windows.

    All,

    Beware, I have today found Microsoft Office 2010 update KB4462174 stops Office apps running on XP.

    Three of four Office/Excel 2010 updates downloaded today were OK.

    My method now is to download and custom (not express) install updates one at a time, test Office apps still run OK after each update, if not remove the bad update via Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs.

    I have just had "The procedure entry point..." problem again on launching Word 2010. This time found due to Office 2010 update KB4462157, which I had just installed.

    I removed KB4462157 using Add/Remove Programs and Word 2010 now opens and performs properly.

    I then marked KB4462157 hidden on MS Update, to prevent this (another) badly designed Microsoft update from being reinstalled and wrecking my Office 2010.

    Microsoft don't seem to care about which of their Windows operating systems Office 2010 users may be using when it comes to pushing out updates.

    Would you please clarify your question?  Is your need still current?

    The issues due to update for Office 2010 (KB4461522) Oct/Nov 2018 are happening again with the installation of KB4461614 office 2010 update dated (January 12th/19). 

    Problem solved removing the KB4461614 update, Office working again.

    I have the same issue for the second time, this happened yesterday (January 12th/19) with the installation of KB4461614 office 2010 update. 

    After removing it, all Office applications start to work.

    Now I have this update on my list of pending, Some one can help me to know how to remove it from list?
