Is anyone aware of an issue with MS Project 2016 where a custom field is not being saved?
The field is a flag one and is displayed as an image. If the value of the field is changed and the file is saved, when the file is re-opened the value has been brought back to its original value before the change. It works as expected in MS Project 2013.

For the Flag field that doesn't save, how is the field set, manual entry, or what?

Thank you for your message.
Yes, the value is saved when there are no indicators. I also have another flag field which is linked to graphical indicators and it is also saved. However, its value is calculated based on a formula rather than just the value of the field as is the case with the one that is not being saved. I have also tried to set an indicator if the value is "No" as well and that makes no difference. The value is still not being saved.
