MS Project 2016 not saving custom field.

Is anyone aware of an issue with MS Project 2016 where a custom field is not being saved?

The field is a flag one and is displayed as an image. If the value of the field is changed and the file is saved, when the file is re-opened the value has been brought back to its original value before the change. It works as expected in MS Project 2013.

    Hi Stanislava,

    Sorry for the delayed response. Regarding this issue, as a workaround; when you set the custom field the first time, do not change the value. Which means all the flag value should be No, keep it that way then save and close out the project. After that, open it again then you will see all the value are set as no and you can switch them to yes or no as you like and all should work as expected, as the issue only happens when we change the value to Yes for the fist time when we save it.

    Hi Stanislava,

    We just tested this on the latest version of the Monthly (Targeted) channel and can see the behavior you're experiencing. We'll test this out on all 4 channel's latest version and let you know once we have an update.

    Hi Stanislava,

    After reviewing the issue, we see that you mentioned the saved project displays the value correctly on Project 2013 after being saved in Project 2016. This points to a display issue, as the value is actually correctly saved on the file, and only Project 2016 is continuing to show the wrong value.

    As such, we would like you to try and disable the hardware acceleration option to see if this is related to your specific environment's graphics.

    To do this, please navigate to File > Options > Advanced and tick the Disable hardware graphics accelerationoption under the Display sub-menu.
