Access Database is getting corrupt again and again

We have an application which was working okay till last month. But after the last windows update our clients are getting issues with access database. access database got corrupted.  We ran compact and repair. But it still getting corrupted again and again.  This issue started right after the window update. clients are on different OS. Like server 2018, server 2012 and windows 10.

Is there anything i have check in new windows update or any other step to prevent database corruption?

    After dealing with this Access data corruption issues for the past two years, nothing is obvious. Microsoft has basically given up on the problem and left customers hanging.

    I haven't given up on Access yet. Though the backend database has its issues with Windows 10/VPN's, the front end tools, VBA coding and interactions with other Office/Adobe applications is quite versatile.

    I agree with BP. Though not the best option, moving the Access backend database to SharePoint also takes the Access database engine/Windows 10 backend communication out of the equation. SharePoint may not require logging into the company VPN, which I suspect also causes data corruption issues with the Access backend database.

    I have multiple clients using Citrix and it has resolved the issue for each of them. Obviously it will depend on the server OS being used, but for my clients it has completely bypassed the issue they were having with their individual desktop OS.

    Have you tried it and still experienced problems?

    Then again, heading on 3 years now, I think the wise move is now to move away from Access, but that's just my personal/professional opinion.

    Citrix itself does not resolve the issue, unless maybe your Citrix environment virtualizes apps using an older version of Windows. From what I understand, the issue is caused by the way the Access database engine in a Windows 10 environment communicates with the backend on the file server.

    Any solution that takes Windows 10 out of the equation will resolve this issue.

    By using Citrix, the user is actually operating directly on the Citrix server, so Windows 10 is taken out of the equation, problem solved.

    It is Windows 10 that is causing this issue, so using another OS gets around the problem.

    Windows 7 never looked so good! :-)
