Access Database is getting corrupt again and again

We have an application which was working okay till last month. But after the last windows update our clients are getting issues with access database. access database got corrupted.  We ran compact and repair. But it still getting corrupted again and again.  This issue started right after the window update. clients are on different OS. Like server 2018, server 2012 and windows 10.

Is there anything i have check in new windows update or any other step to prevent database corruption?

    Sorry, one additional question (I'll shut up after this) - A couple users have told me that they are losing data after a data corruption and compact & repair. I thought that wasn't suppose to occur with a compact & repair ?

    Do you have the fe db as .accdb, and the be db as .mdb ? Does that work ? How long ago did you do that, and how is it holding up with this "working from home" situation ?

    Interesting on DoCmd.RunSQL vs DoCmd.OpenQuery. I'll look into it.

    Ok, almost 3 weeks later, daily db corruptions and I'm ready to try anything. So create .reg file with Notepad, which has the exact 5 lines above - no modifications on any of the lines. Copy over to a folder on the user's local drive, right click the file, choose Run as Admin, and it makes the appropriate changes then reboot ? Do you need Admin rights to each user's laptop to make these registry changes ? Also, do I need to update the registry for all client machines or still continue to have issues with data corruption ?

    I found out recently our be database is on a NAS disk, but that hasn't stopped the ongoing corruptions.

    Daniel,

    Now that we are in the period of Coronavirus and working at home, is logging into a VPN considered a persistent connection ? My database corruption has returned to occurring every day since mid-March 2020. I am considering the client registry fix in my setup file (see my post to Mark) since the IT teams are virtually unresponsive now. I wish this albatross issue would just go away !
