AUTOCORRECT-ONENOTE: FOR GODS SAKE PROVIDE AN OPTION TO TURN IT OFF!!

In Office365 OneNote the way it was presented to me there was an option to revert to the "Classic Ribbon".

After reverting I was able to turn off the most annoying autocorrects by following Home/Spelling/AutoCorrect Options.

WARNING: After reverting to the "Classic Ribbon" I can't find anyway to change back to the default.

It's been a year and still this is an issue. I installed onenote yesterday and I have all the problems listed, and another: If I select all the text, rightclick and change the language from Norwegian to English, onenote still auto-"corrects" to Norwegian. Meaning I cannot write English notes, since words like "go" get "corrected" to "og" infinitely.

Still unresolved. I'm writing notes about some code and one of the variables is lower case i . Except I can't write it because it gets auto corrected to I every time.

This is STILL not resolved, nor has there been any response whatsoever. The level of neglect is laughably hilarious at this point.

While this is still an issue, I have found that you can hit [Ctrl+Z] right after the auto-correction occurs to revert back to the original text entry.  It requires you to hit [Ctrl+Z] immediately after you type the text, and then again after you hit the Space Bar.

Still highly annoying and a huge frustration if you are typing extensive notes with text groups that are constantly being converted to a symbol.

An example:  (c) is automatically converted to the copyright symbol ©.  The conversion occurs immediately after the closing parenthesis is typed following the c.  At this point, you will hit [Ctrl+Z] to change the symbol back to the text code (c).  However, because OneNote is truly helpful and really likes symbols, the (c) will convert back to the copyright symbol when you hit the Space Bar.  At this point, you will again hit [Ctrl+Z] to undo the conversion and change the symbol back to (c).

Note:  This is the fastest way to change the symbol back to text code.  Hitting the space bar before the first [Ctrl+Z] will not allow you to skip a step and convert the symbol back to text code.  It will just back your cursor up by one space leaving the symbol.  You'd then have to follow the steps in the example above.
