Is there a way to search for tags in OneNote for Windows 10? Or is this a feature that will be added soon?

We are planning to roll out Tags Search next month and custom tags in November for the OneNote Store app.
According to this article from April 2018, the OneNote for Windows 10 app will soon have tag searching.
For company work I have installed and am using a standalone version of Office 2019 Home and Business. This version of OneNote absolutely pales in comparison to what came before. I do, however, have subscriptions of both O365 Home and Premium and I have noted the following:
As of the standalone version (which I am testing today), searching by tagsis in fact possible. There is no specified option for it, no dropdown menus or anything...but if you tag notes across pages, then press CTRL+E to search across all Notebooks, then enter the name of the tag (e.g. "Critical"), you will get a list of pages in which you have notes marked as Critical. It's almost like they've gradually added stuff in but haven't told anyone yet, which is less than professional if you ask me. Or is this a paradoxically productive glitch somewhere? Who knows with Microsoft...
In O365 Home you can do the same. In Business Premium there is a Tags option in the Search interface, but you still have to enter the name of the tag....sigh.
Again, I ask: why on earth should a newer version delete functions of its predecessor?
It's next month, when is Microsoft actually going to include tag searching, or the older Find Tags feature? It's so frustrating that here I am asking for a feature from the past in what is supposed to be a "newer, improved OneNote".
