User fonts not working in Word for iPad after iOS 11

I have been using Microsoft Word for iPad to write and edit documents for a while now and it has been working well. I have some custom fonts installed on my iPad, and those have been working great with Word as well. Until iOS 11. After I updated my iPad to iOS 11, I got an error message every time I opened a file that relied on my user-installed fonts: “There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font.”. And the file closes and/or stays open but doesn’t display my fonts. Is this a known issue? Anyone experiencing this?  I’m hopeful that this will be addressed in the first post iOS 11 update for Word, but I haven’t seen anything about it online.

    Hi, for us the "special" fonts work fine in other apps, its's just the Microsoft stuff that's broken. So frustrating. Been this way too long. We have switched several team members over to the iPad for a lot of their work, and now they are really struggling with Word not being able to use these fonts.

    Ahem. This issue is over 4 years old. Good that it was finally "submitted to related team for further investigation". Well, it happened almost half a year ago without any results, but I understand -- it really takes time to investigate the issue, as it requires a lot of work: try to install a font at iPad and then try to use it in Word. No one can do that faster than in 9-12 months.

    Frustrating that this hasn’t been addressed, considering that I pay to use Word on my devices. Without this feature I can’t produce work for my company since we use certain fonts for our brand identity.
