User fonts not working in Word for iPad after iOS 11

I have been using Microsoft Word for iPad to write and edit documents for a while now and it has been working well. I have some custom fonts installed on my iPad, and those have been working great with Word as well. Until iOS 11. After I updated my iPad to iOS 11, I got an error message every time I opened a file that relied on my user-installed fonts: “There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font.”. And the file closes and/or stays open but doesn’t display my fonts. Is this a known issue? Anyone experiencing this?  I’m hopeful that this will be addressed in the first post iOS 11 update for Word, but I haven’t seen anything about it online.

    This may be if some help Microsoft or Apple in resolving the problem. 

    1. Creating a new document on the ipad using the custom font does not exhibit the problem, whether the file is saved locally or somewhere like dropbox.
    2. A file using the custom font i changed to calibri on my pc. It then opened in ipad fine. I changed the font from calibri to the custom font on the ipad, saved it and tried opening it sgain. It now works fine.

    BTW, my custom fonts are Monotype and installed through the excellent AnyFont app.

    This is an old thread of 4 years ago. It seems that this issue is not new to Microsoft and hasn't been solved since. There should have been a follow up, not a starting all over again as if it were a brand new issue :-)

    That thread is out of date. Microsoft added support for third-party fonts in its iPad office apps in 2014, and it had been working great for me. However, iOS 11 broke this feature. So it's a new issue.

    I m still on the 10.3.3 and I cannot launch Word. Plus if I print to a PDF the fonts are not printed as they should look like but with an equivalent font: pls. read what I wrote above in my previous posts. 

    I think this bug occurred after a specific Word update. And all of a sudden.
