I have been using Microsoft Word for iPad to write and edit documents for a while now and it has been working well. I have some custom fonts installed on my iPad, and those have been working great with Word as well. Until iOS 11. After I updated my iPad to iOS 11, I got an error message every time I opened a file that relied on my user-installed fonts: “There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font.”. And the file closes and/or stays open but doesn’t display my fonts. Is this a known issue? Anyone experiencing this? I’m hopeful that this will be addressed in the first post iOS 11 update for Word, but I haven’t seen anything about it online.

Agree with this but if someone from Microsoft could even just acknowledge these posts after close to a year of not doing so it would be appreciated. This is just such a fundamental issue for many business users of Microsoft products that want the flexibility to use in IOS when on the go. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE MICROSOFT!!!!!
Ran - checking in on this issue. Has been over a year now and there have been multiple posts from other users experiencing the same problem but no response from microsoft for many months now. There have been multiple updates to Micrsoft Office for IOS since this issue was first raised offering unwanted/unneeded “improvements” but nothing addressing this fundamental problem that prevents many users with OTF fonts as part of theri business templates from using office in IOS.

Hello everyone,
i had the same problem. I followed instructions of someone on page 6 of this string to convert font to TTF. I used a different font converter than the one suggested, but it worked to my great relief. Thanks to everyone.
I use Monotype fonts, and I’m pretty sure the EULA does not allow changing .otf to .ttf, so I’m a bit wary of going down that path.
