I have been using Microsoft Word for iPad to write and edit documents for a while now and it has been working well. I have some custom fonts installed on my iPad, and those have been working great with Word as well. Until iOS 11. After I updated my iPad to iOS 11, I got an error message every time I opened a file that relied on my user-installed fonts: “There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font.”. And the file closes and/or stays open but doesn’t display my fonts. Is this a known issue? Anyone experiencing this? I’m hopeful that this will be addressed in the first post iOS 11 update for Word, but I haven’t seen anything about it online.

Hi Rob,
I understand it has been a long time since the issue reported. We are still working on the issue but an ETA is not available. I would suggest you keep the Word app up to date so that it will work for you as soon as it is fixed.

Hi Ran - just checking in once again on this. I reckon we have had around 10 updates to the office IOS apps since I first experienced this issue and it is still not resolved. I have not been able to open any of my work documents on office IOS apps for over 6 mths because there is insufficient memory to display the custom font and I imagine there a bunch of others in the same situation. How can this not be a priority issue to fix??

Some days ago, I opened a Word file containing some icons of the FontAwesome font on my iPad 12.9 iOS 11.4 and I have been happily surprised that everything seemed OK.
I don't have much time at the moment to do several tests. However, I would be pleased to answer your questions, if any.
The FontAwesome font was installed with iFont app for iOS.

We have serious problems with this. Can we have an update? someone needs to take responsibility for this
