I have been using Microsoft Word for iPad to write and edit documents for a while now and it has been working well. I have some custom fonts installed on my iPad, and those have been working great with Word as well. Until iOS 11. After I updated my iPad to iOS 11, I got an error message every time I opened a file that relied on my user-installed fonts: “There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font.”. And the file closes and/or stays open but doesn’t display my fonts. Is this a known issue? Anyone experiencing this? I’m hopeful that this will be addressed in the first post iOS 11 update for Word, but I haven’t seen anything about it online.

I think everybody understood that the problem came with the upgrade to iOS11 and OFFICE 365 is no longer able to manage special fonts as it did before under iOS10. I personally experienced the same issue. On my iPad PRO with still more than 100GB free, Word tells me there is a memory or disk space issue, which is definitely not the case. Word in Office 2016 on my Mac can easily work with Latin Modern Roman, the 365 word version on my iPad cannot.
The issue here is that this problem is not getting solved in a reasonable time scale but there is also no serious feedback from Microsoft. Is there probably a communication problem? Its very embarrassing for many of us and seemingly going to become a slapstick. Isn’t it?
Really hope that Microsoft is taking care of this very soon, otherwise sharing between different devices becomes useless.
Why is this not fixed yet? It pretty much makes "sharing documents between devices" worthless. :(
