I have been using Microsoft Word for iPad to write and edit documents for a while now and it has been working well. I have some custom fonts installed on my iPad, and those have been working great with Word as well. Until iOS 11. After I updated my iPad to iOS 11, I got an error message every time I opened a file that relied on my user-installed fonts: “There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font.”. And the file closes and/or stays open but doesn’t display my fonts. Is this a known issue? Anyone experiencing this? I’m hopeful that this will be addressed in the first post iOS 11 update for Word, but I haven’t seen anything about it online.

Hi Ran - any further update you can share with Users on this issue. It has been quite some time now and is a real problem for users with custom fonts required for work purposes.
I have exactly the same issue when any document I try to open on the Word App on my Ipad uses the Kamerik 105 font!
I do not experience this problem with either Powerpoint or Excel, just in Word - and only when I am using the Ipad app.
The app doesn’t crash or closes, it stays open but is unable to open any file that uses user-installed fonts. If I try to manually copy the contents of the document, it would work but the font shown is different.

Unfortunately the same answer: „We‘re sorry but we there is no solution...“
This problem makes it impossible for me to use Word for work :-(

many thanks for the feedback. I tried today with the latest version and still it doesn‘t work.
I understand that things might need time but this issue is known now since half a year. Probably Microsoft wants us to be patiened up to iOS12? Since everything was pretty nice working under iOS10, why not giving a warning when upgrading to iOS11 that special font won‘t work with office. Everything else is nicely working under iOS11, however.
