Why is this popping out in my word file? I am using office 365 subscription.

    For us to isolate the issue about a pop-up that needs an account in opening a file, kindly respond to the questions below:

    1. Is the issue specific to one file or with every Word file?
    2. Have you checked if your Office application is updated?
    3. Are you signed in to Office?
    4. Have you associated your Microsoft account with Office?

    I will follow-up here since they did not, I am having the exact same problem. I will also let you know that this happens only on the first open of an existing word document. let me know how else I can help you get to the bottom of this. Is it a security concern?

    every word file

    1. Have you checked if your Office application is updated?

    yes its up to date, just checked

    1. Are you signed in to Office?

    It shows my name in the upper right of the word window. I am signed in.

    1. Have you associated your Microsoft account with Office?

    yes

    1. Seems to be the case but not sure. I opened a file and it did the same thing, but when I try to open others it does not again

    Hi,

    It could be that multiple accounts was used to log in to Office. We suggest that you log out of Office and log in again. Keep in mind that your settings or preferences would revert back to the default state and that you may have to configure it again after signing in.

    Update us on the results.
