A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
Fixed now it seems. System just said an Office Update was available. After it was installed, cannot reproduce the problem.

Hello Gareez,
I just did an Online Repair as well and this did not resolve the issue, would you mind sharing what you did exactly to resolve this issue?
Regards,
Jaap Brasser
Did, as directed from the "German" case doc'd with MS. Did a repair operation on Office and it's taken care of issue. Relieved, indeed. What a hindrance!
REVISION!
DIDN'T REPAIR .. STILL EVIDENT. REPAIR of Office, DIDN'T FIX !!
Note: I also saw this on open of a document that I just saved to OneDrive (via downloading from Thunderbird into my local OneDrive account) and opened by double-clicking on it from the Explorer window.
I am on Windows 7 x64, with 32-bit Office installed (the default).
Note that if this were a real auth prompt, it wouldn't list the server as _vti_rpc, which is not a server that would have my OneDrive documents on it.
