Cursor becomes smaller in Office apps.

I have the same issue on a brand new Dell XPS.  What's interesting to me is that I only see the issue on hyperlinks within Office apps like Word and Outlook. Everywhere else the cursor behaves normally.

    I also have this problem, and given you guys appear to be actively investigating it, I have taken the opportunity of a quiet office between Xmas and New Year to investigate my own issue:-

    I believe it is scaling issue and therefore only affects applications that use scaling: RDCM, Word, Excel, etc.

    It also only affects certain mouse cursors as per the examples in this thread.

    A temporary fix is to manually alter your scaling in 'Display settings', just change the scaling to something else, sign out as instructed in red in the dialog and when you come back it will be OK.  You can then even go back to 'Display settings' and change the scaling back to what it was, log out and back in again and it will still be OK...until you eventually shutdown/restart that is!

    I believe that the fault lies with Windows auto-selecting the scaling, but the fact it only affects certain mouse pointers is really odd.

    I use my Lenovo Yoga 900 Laptop by itself, on dual screens at work and a single screen at home.  The problem only appears at work and only started a month or so ago.  All updates will be loaded to-date as I keep everything up-to-date.  I suspect a Windows Update.

    Hope at least some of this helps and look forward to a solution soon - I'm even losing the cursor altogether in certain circumstances when using one of my apps which makes things particularly tricky!  At least I've worked-out this work-around for now - hope it works for you.

    Thanks for the follow-up. Count on that Microsoft won't respond until after the holidays, so we will probably have to wait a while for more information.

    My shrinking cursor issue has magically disappeared.  I wish I could say I fixed it but alas, all I have done is keep working. I'm sure my laptop has been through several reboots and different monitors since I posted my screenshots above.  Right now scaling is at 100% on my dual 1920x1200 monitors and all is fine.

    If the problem re-appears I'll let you know.
