I've been using Excel 2016/Office 365 and just recently, I started getting this message: "The file 'name of file' may have been changed by another user since you last saved it. In that case, what do you want to do? Save a copy. Overwrite changes."

I'm the only one working in my file. It is stored on the OneDrive for Business, which is the company supported.

How do I keep this message from appearing?  Or WHY is this message appearing?  

I saw a similar post for Excel 2013, but no help was actually given.

We've contacted the related team and would like to share the latest updates here:

For Consumer products (e.g. Home,Personal,University), the issue should has been fixed in Office version 8229.2103.

For Enterprise products (e.g. Business Premium, Enterprise), the issue will be fixed very soon in few days, the expected Office version number is 8201.2140.

    I tried the add a screenshot but none of the formats were accepted in this message (I tried Word and PDF).

    Since the last update I keep getting the message below every time I try to save an Excel file.

    I tried the flush the file cache  solution but problem persists.

    Please advise.

    They need to be image files not PDfs or Doc?. Do a print screen then save it as an image. ie JPG file.

    Hi All,

    Please respond to our PM when you have time.

    I'd like to confirm you are using OneDrive client (e.g. ver 17.3.6917.0607) to sync either your Office 365 account or microsoft account (personal) and this all happens locally when you save an excel file in the local synced folder, not cloud OneDrive/OneDrive for Business/Excel Online. If not please correct me and share more details.

    Hello,

    Here is the Product info:

    I asked my IT department and they said we use OneDrive, not OneDrive for Business.

    This is an Office 365 account.
