Cursor disappears (only) over the italic texts (on PC)

The problem occurs under any front and any zoom I am using. 

I just updated Office 365 to the latest version (1701) before posting this question and the problem still remains

    I have the same issue and have the Intel HD 620 and NVIDIA GeForce 940MX. I'm using a bluetooth mouse M325C. I have an HP Spectre 360 with Windows 10 and everything is currently updated. Please advise if a solution is available for this.

    Thank you for the insight into who participates in the forum from Microsoft, and I appreciate you reaching out to the Office team to inquire about a solution. Any information would be helpful whether there is a solution or not. If there is a solution to this issue that would be awesome. If not, I can inform my staff there is no solution and we can move on.

    I'm going to ask a question to the Office team and (hopefully) find out if they have more information on this issue. I'll post back with any information that I receive.

    Hi Wilford...

    I certainly haven't solved it. I just grit my teeth and repeat the litany against fear every time I have to highlight anything which is in italics. I haven't seen any response from Microsoft, and I'm not aware of anyone who has.

    If anyone has a solution to this, or even a workaround, I would love to hear it!
