Cursor disappears (only) over the italic texts (on PC)

The problem occurs under any front and any zoom I am using. 

I just updated Office 365 to the latest version (1701) before posting this question and the problem still remains

    Having the same problem. Makes it VERY difficult to edit bibliographies when you cannot see where you are selecting italicized text. I've done all of the updates suggested throughout this thread to both Microsoft products and other drivers. It still persists. How can this still be an issue with this many complaints?!

    My cursor appears on 120% but I usually have all other settings but 120%....

    So many years the same problem persists. I wonder....

    I have the same problem and this is driving me crazy now...

    I use Office 2010 and I never had this problem until I went to Windows 10.

    I’ve noticed I have problems with my cursor in other apps (such as Cubase or Vegas Pro) where the cursor is supposed to change when hoovering a special area, a bit like in word.

    The cursor also doesn’t display as it should when my mouse is positioned at the top left or right of the page.

    One thing that may count: I have one 4k screen and two other standard monitors (I used exactly the same hardware on Seven)

    I’ve tried several things and these two following temporarily solved the problem:

    -       - Setting a custom scaling (105%)

    -       - Updating my graphic card driver

    For each of these two solutions, the problem disappeared but reappeared right after.

    Sadly, It seems that Microsoft won’t pay attention to the problem under a certain number of people complaining.
