Hi All,
Im running W10 with 365 office pro
lenovo X1 Carbon notebook
when editing word documents on an external monitor, the document tends to jump around horizontally while scrolling or editing
its a very quick, momentary motion, but enough that it is quite nauseating to look at for extended periods of time.
interesting thing is, i only see this behaviour while the document is on the external monitor, not when it is on the laptop monitor
is it some interaction between word and the video driver?
i only see this on MS word
there is a potentially related phenomena with excel where the excel pane flickers / freezes until the monitor is unplugged or excel rebooted that occurs when dragging a pane between monitors.
any thoughts would be

I also cannot try the refresh rate change, as 60 is my only option.
That being said, switching to 125% scaling does make the problem go away. This is not a final solution for me, but a workaround until Microsoft can identify a solution to this potential bug?
Annoys me intensely that I bought a PC against all my better judgement having been a mac user for ever. First 3 months, fine. Now its just a basket-case like every other PC I've ever used. Of course I can troubleshoot, I can do this sh!7 but I have better things to do. Microsoft, I'll be getting a mac again next time.

At my customers, we have the same issue where we use external displays. Only in case of "extended display" on the external monitor. All Windows and computer driver up to date. OffCAT did not find any issue. We did not seen, or experience this display error approx 2-3 months ago. These issue reports has been around since 2 or 3 months too, without any usefull solution. What is the point of view of Microsoft?

OFFCAT reported no problems on my Lenovo X1 Carbon Gen 4 with Win10. Everything is updated (including bios, windows, office) and the problems is >6 months so it has survived a range of updates.
The issue is much worse with WORD than any other part of OFFICE. There is NO issue with other software like Explorer or Evernote.
I had the problem with ONE monitor of two, when I ran two monitors from the laptop via DVI via a Lenovo USB Dock. I also have the problem newly on BOTH of two monitors, with run running (MiniDisplay > HDMI) and one running (HDMI>HDMI) off the X1 itself.
The monitors are just 1600x900 so it's not bizarrely huge amounts of pixels like 4k. I've driven two monitors successfully off Lenovo laptops x 8 years and across several generations of WIN and OFFICE and this is the first severe bug.
