Spell Check not working in Word 365 after automatic update

Thanks.  And I don't mean to sound unappreciative but  1.  on User Voice and/or the Feedback - the feedback list is not dated and there does not appear any way to sort by date so that's sort of like looking for a needle in a haystack. You can add a comment but that's probably as useless as commenting on this forum; I don't believe anyone at Microsoft is actually reading or responding.  2.  There is no way on User Voice to see if Microsoft has acknowledged the editor.  And 3.  I did send a frown face when this issue was first found more than a month ago, I have gotten no response of acknowledgement.  So basically we are just spinning our wheels.

Hello, I had this frustrating occurrence happen to me too. I had to 'clear formatting' for all of the text in that document ( a bit of a crap process) but it brought back spellcheck for me. For some unknown reason an imported text field corrupts spellcheck perhaps??

Please keep in mind that you are not addressing Microsoft here, just other users (especially when replying to a post from another user).

My office is also experiencing the same problems mentioned above. 

Spell Checker is not finding misspelled words in new emails but works when replying to an email. This has happened since the last update.

If anyone has come up with a fix, it will be much appreciated.

Thanks for trying to assist.  I posted the issue in previous post:

This issue popped up after the update wherein Microsoft redesigned the Check Document editor.

I am using Microsoft Office 365 for Business, Version 1804, Build 9226.2156

1.  The first issue is if you do not have "Check Spelling as you type" and/or "Mark Grammar as you type"; (in Options/ Proofing) running the "ABC Check Document" button from the "Review" tab will not find any spelling or grammar errors.  

2.  The next issue is that the Grammar Checking is not working.  It sporadically may find an error but for the most part it does not find obvious grammatical errors at all.  And YES I have checked and double checked all troubleshooting suggestions.

I type:  "Lets try this again for heavens sake?" - it comes up with zero grammatical errors in that sentence.

Here's another sentence, "Jack and Jill went ups the hill to fetch a pale of water.  Their buckets was never fill"  With both "Check Spelling as you type" and/or "Mark Grammar as you type"; (in Options/ Proofing) no grammar errors come up either by (1) marked as you type or (2) when you click on the "ABC Check Document" button.

I will post a screen shot next.

I have tried this on three other computers that were updated and none find any errors.  However, on the one computer that was not updated - thereby using the old version of Editor - all the grammar errors come up.

So if you have the updated Word - what happens when you type on those sentences (or any sentence with obvious grammar errors?
