Word App not uploading to Dropbox

I am currently having some issues between dropbox and the Word app on my iPad. I will be typing in a document in the Word app and suddenly get an error message saying the app has saved my changes but can't upload them to Dropbox. When I check, the WiFi signal is strong and there is no obvious connection problem. In the directory the file shows "Upload Pending" under it and has an exclaimation point with a triangle around it. This happens multiple times daily, and happens to files in multiple folders. I have to save the file again with a new file name each time it happens because it won't over-write or delete the old file. Once the new file is saved, the old file never syncs and shows no yellow triange or green check icon. If I try to delete the old file I get an error message saying that the file cannot be deleted now and to try again later.  I have tried deleting and re-installing both apps multiple times and restarting device to no avail. I checked Dropbox trouble shooting and they said it was a Microsoft problem, not their end. I use these programs to take, save, and organize my class notes so getting this fixed is vital with exams coming up...thanks for your help.

Steve, as an MVP you might know.

Is there any way to escalate this further? This is absolutely unacceptable service for a paid product.

Any update would be appreciated ... has MS acknowledged the issue yet? Have they begun addressing it? Clearly the priority is resolution and functionality, but at this point just an acknowledgment of the issue and commitment to resolving it would go a long way! Progress update and timeline would be even better! It’s hard imagine that anything could be more frustrating than trying to use Office 365 to conduct business (or for any other purpose) right now, but the lack of outreach & response is in danger of eclipsing that! It’s hard to understsnd why MS is adding such unsult to injury. Key word there is INSULT! It’s insulting that MS cannot at the VERY LEAST respond to the countless inquiries seeking confirmation/explanation/resolution of a software issue that severely impacts functionality but continues to incur the same monthly fee! Please forward this to MS with request for a timely (and overdue) reply! I’ll make it easy and they can just fill in the blank:

    ”We apologize for the inconvenience.

The issue has been identified and we’re working on a resolution.

We hope to have our software fully functional by _____________.”

As I wrote in April, a bug report has been filed. No more news has been released, as far as I know.

Is there any other recourse we can take? Can MS comment directly with a progress update? Not familiar with the protocol, but this post goes back to January, as does the issue, so we’re now at 4 months without resolution or an update.
