I am currently having some issues between dropbox and the Word app on my iPad. I will be typing in a document in the Word app and suddenly get an error message saying the app has saved my changes but can't upload them to Dropbox. When I check, the WiFi signal is strong and there is no obvious connection problem. In the directory the file shows "Upload Pending" under it and has an exclaimation point with a triangle around it. This happens multiple times daily, and happens to files in multiple folders. I have to save the file again with a new file name each time it happens because it won't over-write or delete the old file. Once the new file is saved, the old file never syncs and shows no yellow triange or green check icon. If I try to delete the old file I get an error message saying that the file cannot be deleted now and to try again later. I have tried deleting and re-installing both apps multiple times and restarting device to no avail. I checked Dropbox trouble shooting and they said it was a Microsoft problem, not their end. I use these programs to take, save, and organize my class notes so getting this fixed is vital with exams coming up...thanks for your help.

Again, I am having the same trouble with the excel app. I have one Ipad that it still works on but that never goes offline. It seems, for us, to be an issue when you work out of wifi or mobile range and then sync back when you get service again. Either way, it has been an issue for a while and microsoft should be doing more to replicate and fix the issue. It didn't exist in older versions, so it shouldn't be that hard to remedy.
I’m having the same problem, and it’s very frustrating. I use Dropbox because my OneDrive is attached to my school account, so when I graduate I will lose access to it, which is unacceptable. Also, Dropbox is more platform-ecumenical than OneDrive, so I will not be switching services. Any fixes to this issue are greatly appreciated.
I’m running:
iOS 11.2.6
5th generation iPad, 128GB
Word for iOS version 2.11.1
This issue also affects PowerPoint on my iPad, which is the only other Office product I use on my device.
I look forward to a quick resolution to this issue, and thank you in advance.
Version 2.11.1 - Still no good.
The incompetence of the Office team is REALLY showing.
3 weeks between updates. THREE.
And lo and behold today's update DOESN'T FIX ANYTHING.
