Touchpad scroll not working with Excel 2010

Good day all,

I have an Acer Aspire ES 15 running 64bit Windows 10 and Office 2010 Professional.

I've just built this machine from new and the only application or situation where 2 fingered scrolling on the touchpad doesn't work is Excel 2010.

Following some online advice I ran a fix which didn't fix it.

I also uninstalled Office 2010. That's when I found out Office 365 was pre-installed. I uninstalled that as well. I have now performed a fresh install of Office 2010 and still have the same problem with Excel 2010 only.

Btw, this is happening for all excel files whether they have freeze panes or not.

Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated.

    Just performed the KB4058258 update. Same issue, vertical scrolling not working in Excel 2010 or 2013. 

    Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.214)

    Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010 Version 14.0.4734.1000

    I couldn't find this update on my Win7, but the problem was still existing.

    "Uninstalling Microsoft Windows Security Update (KB4054517)"

    Yes, it solved my issue three times now. When I uninstall this update, I simply reboot the notebook and vóila, the vertical scroll is working fine again. The problem is, Windows keeps re-installing this update, and the problem returns, so by the time I temporarily gave up and I am just using the mouse scroll instead, in Excel.
