I can no longer get publisher to print to any printer, including a physical printer (HPLaserJet) or to a file, i.e. a PDF. It tries to connect for about 30 seconds and then once connected the print button remains greyed out. All other MS Office programs work fine. Any ideas?

David, why would 3 desktop machines still work perfectly and 2 laptops. It is isolated to one desktop.
Yes it’s the 2007 version that is no longer being supported. If anyone is using Windows Live Mail that is going to be killed too!
Please post where Microsoft says they are no longer supporting 2007. It IS being supported. Please back up your response with a link about the non support

As I suggested before you are probably going to have to use the PDF workaround if you want to continue to use Pub 2007. You will likely get quite blue in the face if you hold your breath hoping for a patch from MSFT. They don't care that much about newer versions of Publisher, let alone one that is no longer supported.

I went to the Microsoft store in Sydney last Wednesday with my computer for the techos to fix the problem and once he saw it was 2007 version of Publisher he told me it was no longer being supported and therefore he couldn't fix my printing problem. I explained that if I saved it to a .PNG file it was possible to print and he said 'whatever works for you' but there will not be a patch to fix the printer issue that everyone is having. That's also when he told me Windows Live Mail was not going to be supported as well.
Also, when I rang Support on 23rd January the level 2 Technician gave me this link, but when I click on it, it says Page Not Found. support.office.com/en-us/article/Support-is-ending-for-Office-2007-02431d9e-ba-55-4227-8e37-d697d36fbb9?ui=en-US
