Cannot print from Publisher

I can no longer get publisher to print to any printer, including a physical printer (HPLaserJet) or to a file, i.e. a PDF.  It tries to connect for about 30 seconds and then once connected the print button remains greyed out.  All other MS Office programs work fine.  Any ideas?

    I found a solution that worked for me, so I thought I would share it. After Windows 10 updates, I could no longer print from Publisher.

    Here's what didn't work:

    • uninstalling updates (some would not uninstall and required manual removal from registry)
    • saving file under new name
    • updating printer drivers
    • uninstalling MS Office, running registry cleaner, and reinstalling Office

    Here's what worked:

    Through the process of elimination (systematically deleting each graphic and text box), I determined that one of my fonts (dense-regular.otf) had been corrupted by the Windows updates, or at the very least would not allow Publisher to print. I deleted that font from my Publisher file, and IT PRINTED!

    None of the 2007 apps will print to any printer (including all pdf drivers), if you do not want to send any more money to MS, I found the best method is to save as pdf (There print options, like selective pages e.g. 1, 3-10 and 3-5, 11 etc etc), then print it with a PDF app (I use a free version of the PDF-XChange Viewer. I works very good for me.

    Thankfully, I have been able to save to a PDF file and then print my document.  A real pain, but at least I was not dead in the water.  Then today on my work computer, I get a message from Microsoft saying that they are about to launch another update!  This one is to take a much longer period of time to download than most others.  I was given an option as to when I wanted to download...Now...Later, give time...Tomorrow.  I selected tomorrow.  I'm terrified that Microsoft will finish the job of destroying all Office 2007 and programs, not just printing from Publisher.  Has anyone downloaded this latest update yet?

    Did you try clicking on File then selecting publish as PDF or XPS   I couldn't save using primoPDF either. On my PC there is a delay when I click on file then more option appear about half way down the menu.

    At least some have a workaround, print to PDF.  I can't even do that as print to PDF or save to PDF don't work either.
