Cannot print from Publisher

I can no longer get publisher to print to any printer, including a physical printer (HPLaserJet) or to a file, i.e. a PDF.  It tries to connect for about 30 seconds and then once connected the print button remains greyed out.  All other MS Office programs work fine.  Any ideas?

    Same problem here.   I must save as a PDF then print the PDF.  I don't want to be doing this every time I need to print.

    I tried the: unchecking "Use XPS enhanced print path when available" under Publisher Options>Advanced>Print

    That didn't help.

    FIXED!!!

    It was the font.  I was using "Constantia" and switched to "Arial" and it is working fine now!!

    It does not print in Office 365 , publisher 2016 either.

    Yes! I haven't been able to print from Publisher 2013 for more than a year, and the last time I tried to figure it out, I just got bogged down with people complaining about Microsoft. The pdf work around was ok, but annoying. So I started searching again, and your solution did it for me. Thank you!

    Another possible fix that worked for me, Windows 10 did not have a default printer for some reason... and no, it's not allowed to determine the default printer on its own..

    Hope this helps anyone who got stuck like I did.. I'm gonna write a font verification utility for the font issue.
