Unable to delete Word file in an Android Device

That's crap 

I have to have all of my WORD documents lost or deleted!!! to simply delete ONE document from the list!

Is there a seperate file that I can develop to drop these useless files into?

Or is there a work around?

WHY cant one of the thousands of coworkers at Micrsoft, that are obviously extremely intelligent, not capable of fixing this bug that has affect Thousands of people multiple times?

I CANNOT afford losing my WORD documents that are stored within this app.

There are only some files I want to delete, not all of them. I had gone to my online banking and had to send many copies of statements to a gov dept and each page has now stayed in my files and I don't need them to be there.  It's clogging up my space! Aarrgghh So frustrating

I had the same problem: these are files left over after downloading an email. If you look at the data source they located all in a hidden a data》user》o》 location and have a temporary files names such as baaa126.... In Word for android the best you can do is, from the menu select "delete from this list". Not sure, however if they are permanently wiped....

No. "Delete from this list", as it's name states, only makes it so that those files will not be displayed in Word. They are still there, clogging your space.

There is only one way I have found that actually purges downloaded word files from an android device and that is to go into apps menu, click on Word and select "clear data."  This will clear all word data, your settings etc and the next time you use word, it will act like it's the first time you've used it.  Until Microsoft and its brilliant engineers correct this odd Word behavior I am afraid that is the only solution available to delete files.
