I am having the same problem.  I want to delete this as it came from a scammer wanting to rent his home.  Please help I want this document out of my phone.

After months of trying to solve this problem on my android device I read something that told me to uninstall Word then reinstall it.  It's a bit of a hassle but seems to work.

    Good luck

    John

    Hi All,

Instead of using Delete, you can use the Remove from list option to remove the files from the Recent documents in Word for Android. Follow these steps:

    1. Open Word.
    2. Tap Menu.
    3. Choose Open.
    4. Tap More beside the file that you want to delete.
    5. Select Remove from list.

We encourage you to post your concern to our Word for Android UserVoice. This way, our Word Team will be able to review your concern and have it addressed. Your feedback helps us to continually improve your experience with our product.
