A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
Hello Michelle,
i) Permanently updated version (not working):
MS Excel 2013 (15.0.4875.1000) MSO (15.0.4875.1000) 32-Bit
ii) For me last working version (when my memory is correct, cloned 2 or 3 days before mouse characteristics changed):
MS Excel 2013 (15.0.4867.1000) MSO (15.0.4867.1003) 32-Bit
May I ask you for help on 2 additional completely different points, where I think this forum format is not appropriate:
- I am 99% sure I identified a failure on function YIELD in Excel. I saw this failure already on Excel 2004, but failed in 2008/09 to find any contact to whom to report for correction. I just confirmed this week, also failure on YIELD in Excel 2013 (I think same, but have not confirmed/compared to Excel 2004). To see the failure I prepared an Excel Sheet to compare with another more universal Excel function that should give the same numerical result. In addition I compared to a self-made calculation. My self-made calculation is in full agreement with the other more universal Excel function and when modifying the problematic/wrong parameter on YIELD the numerical output value changing in the logically wrong direction (decreasing instead of increasing), so I am 99.....% sure the mistake is in YIELD.
My support question to you:
To which E-Mail address can I send my finding to make Microsoft aware on a failure in function YIELD in Excel (at least up to 2013)?
- After relocation to a different country I experience something I call “50% internet connectivity”. Out of the 4 browsers on my 2011 i3 PC, Firefox and Google Chrome are basically working, but EDGE and Internet Explorer give an error message (do not work). Such condition occurs quite regular. Disconnecting and connecting again to internet both can happen. Either I have 100% connectivity (do not see/recognize any problem) or again 50% connectivity.
I think this behavior has nothing to do with a normal user setting, but rather with the procedure the internet connection is set up (by chance some parameter deeply hidden is set different, resulting in either 50% or 100% connectivity). I spent already a considerable amount of time trying to find some reason or even only a hint of a reason, but failed completely (I am simply not specialist enough, but only a technically skilled user).
I also claimed to my internet provider several times, but no real progress.
I have more details on how I first got aware of this problem, how it slightly changed over time and what I did (like checking for IPConfig data in the different conditions, where I see some difference, but am not specialist enough to interpret these differences). I think it has no meaning to discuss such very specific and also quite unclear points as 50% internet connectivity on this board, but to proceed I think best would be to come in contact with a Microsoft specialist for the internet connection, so that I can run tests or check for settings on my PC/internet connection (Microsoft may not be able to replicate my 50% internet connectivity problem, but for me it is visible/present basically daily) and the specialist is guiding me what to do/check and can analyze the data to define new tests until the root cause of my trouble becomes clear.
Only speculating I could imagine my problem to be similar to the interaction problem between Excel and Windows in our “scroll inactive window” problem visible only on Excel 2010/13/16 and Windows 10 and I think it could be useful for Microsoft to understand such interaction of their connection set up procedure and certain networks (Firefox working, but at same time EDGE giving error message/not working looks very strange).
If Microsoft would be willing/interested to analyze, please ask them to contact me under E-Mail: ***
