@ Kim8652 and others
I just used for the first time the "Feedback" possibility in Windows 10.
Beside a short text of 1000 characters Feedback allows to add a movie recording of what is done/ongoing on the screen. I used "Send Feedback" in my home language and recorded a mouse scrolling problem in Resourcemanager.
I think the movie recording possibility is ideal to report to Microsoft on the problems we all see around "Scroll Inactive Window" and this is DIRECT reporting to Microsoft (not to any Moderators on this forum who might add their own thinking/modification).
I would therefore propose some others will also use "Feedback", especially in English, to record/send movies on the 2 somehow different problems
- 1 Excel Window in combination with other program windows (Word, Firefox, ....) and
- 2 or more Excel Windows
In my understanding the movie recording does not include voice and therefore it is good to prepare in advance of the recording some text messages giving the viewer some basic info what is done/ongoing (like in 100 year old films).
Example of such text message:
Now Excel is the active window. "Scrolling Inactive Window" does only scroll the active Excel window, even when the mouse points on the inactive .... Window."
These text messages should give also a good guidance what to include in the recording and KISS (keep it short and simple) should work best.
If several people report within short time proven by attached movies clear problems on mouse scrolling in Windows 10 I think there is a good chance to get Microsoft to wake up on this poor working functionality
(no feedback yet on this forum that Microsoft got the message and has taken some decision).
