After Last Update Scroll Inactive Windows Doesn't Work With Excel 2016

After the last Windows 10 update was installed, my scroll inactive windows setting for my mouse no longer works in Excel 2016 without selecting the window first.  This is a major inconvenience.  Is there a fix for this?

    Hi Kim,

    To address your concern, provide the answers to the following:

    • Have you tried using a different mouse device and got the same result?
    • Is the driver for the mouse device up to date?
    • Have you tried checking the mouse under Device Manager if its status says it's working properly? Here's how:
    1. Right-click Windows Start button then select Device Management.
    2. Click the drop down arrow for Mice and other pointing devices.
    3. Click the mouse you're using then check the Device status.

    In the meantime, we suggest that you perform a System File Checker scan and repair your Excel 2016.
