Student Progress Database Application

Hello everyone!

I want to make an application for keeping track of students’ progress marks each month of the year using Access 2010. Suppose I have 10 literacy centers in 10 different locations each with 35-40 students enrolled. I want to generate a monthly Access  report showing the progress of each student in each of the subjects taught.

I have designed forms for entering details of each center, instructor and student saved in separate tables. All I need to do is find a way to generate month-wise students’ progress reports for each of the 10 literacy centers to be handed over to the center manager.

What would be the best way this could be done using Access 2010?

    Okay, I open the main form and select the Centercode from the combo box then enter a month in the month text box and press the button next to the month for it to fill the text boxes below with the name of the month. Then enter the marks of the students and press the generate report button. Pressing the generate report button gives me this error:

    Both the queries are open as seen. Even if I don't open the queries, and press generate report button, it gives the same error.

    Here's the SQL of the first select query:

    SELECT tblStudentProgress.CenterCode, tblStudentProgress.StudentID, tblStudentProgress.GradeScore, tblCourse.CourseName

    FROM tblCourse INNER JOIN tblStudentProgress ON tblCourse.CourseID = tblStudentProgress.CourseID

    WHERE (((tblStudentProgress.CenterCode)=[Forms]![Production_CenterDetails_Main_Form]![Combo15]) AND ((tblStudentProgress.GradeMonth)=[Forms]![Production_CenterDetails_Main_Form]![Text37]))

    ORDER BY tblStudentProgress.StudentID;

    And here's the SQL of the second crosstab query:

    The database is too huge to send, hence I've shown the SQL above for both the queries.

    Okay, I tried several times for the second cross tab query to work, yet it splashes the same error. I have the form open for its reference. I have both the queries open, and the first one filters the results when the center code is selected from the form, but the second one. i.e. the crosstab gives the same error I showed above. I can't resolve this and do not know what direction to take now.
