Drag and Drop not working Office 365 - Word

Several community discussions on this topic, but I can't find a good answer!  Microsoft, does Word 365 support drag and drop?  If so, how do I fix my system?

    no, it doesn't work in safe mode.  Any other suggestions?

    I sure appreciate anyone's help.  this is a feature I use every day.

    Also, it does not work in all the other office apps; Excel and Outlook email.

    Hi Parth,

    it is Word 2016 MSO 16.0.6528.1017

    Also, I tried the drag and drop setting first.  It's all good.

    I suggest you to install all pending Office and Windows updates and check if drag and drop work as expected.

    Thank you Parth for trying to help me out.

    I verified that Windows update is set to also update Office products.

    I ran the repair tool as you suggestion, and still not working.

    Could it have anything to do with:

    Windows 10 Pro

    Norton

    Dell

    ?

    Thank you again for helping me out.  I wish it would work like Word used to work.  Darn I miss that simple feature.

    Please let me know if you have any more ideas.
