There are no dialog boxes own that I can see and this is a work flow that has been in place for years and to ask users to change because something is broken with no real cause is hard from me to accept.
Some dialog boxes (such as the Cross-reference dialog box) that can be open while you edit the document content will disable drag & drop (for as long as the dialog box remains open). In these cases, you can of course use Ctrl+X for cut and Ctrl+V for paste instead.
This is an issue when deploying to an entire company.
I am having issues within the documents themselves moving sentences and paragraph. Nothing about modal windows.
I have been looking for most of a year but can't find an answer to either question. Just Microsoft, I guess.
But the ESC workaround is really simple, so I don't worry about it anymore.
