I notice a rather annoying problem with Excel 2016 - when scrolling using either a trackpad or mousewheel, the scrolling is not at all smooth. Instead, the scrolling is very jumpy. By jumpy, I don't mean that the scroll will go from point A to point B in a snap rather than a smooth motion. Rather, when initiating a scroll, the spreadsheet will sort of vibrate and bounce rapidly back and forth before the scrolling commence. The problem is particularly obvious when scrolling horizontally, and it sometimes won't scroll at all, no matter how many times I try. In such instances, the only way to move around the spreadsheet is either the arrow key or by clicking on the scroll bar. Sometimes initiating a scroll would cause a beachball to appear for a sec or two, and I'm on a Quad core 2012 Retina Macbook Pro. This is a persistent problem and has not be fixed in the last Excel update. This is also not a machine dependent problem, because I experience the same scrolling problem on my 13" Retina Macbook Pro as well. Anyone else having this issue?

Excel 15.16 has solved this issue for me.
I recently bought an Office license as (I thought at that moment) that Office suite 2011 for Mac was buggy. MS Word has problems since the year 2010 over Portuguese language and autocorrection, and that bug have been reported for 5 years now, it is still completely unsolved and neglected without a simple answer from MS. What was the surprise when we saw this bug still present in 2016 MS Word.... Thas, together with the seizing scrolling of MS Excel made me abandon MS suite of my Mac. Except by Skype, I won't give a penny for MS anymore and I seriously hope that younger people learn LaTeX / GNUPlot and/or related open source tools to work without softwares that shouldn't have ever come out from the scratch. By the way, scratch is exactly what Office suite for Mac is, since 2007.
What feature is being implemented here? I don't what advantage they'd be trying to gain.
After initially thinking it was better, today it is worse than ever. I can't even scroll at all. All it does is jump back and forth like it's having a seizure. C'mon Microsoft, wake the heII up and fix this!
