I notice a rather annoying problem with Excel 2016 - when scrolling using either a trackpad or mousewheel, the scrolling is not at all smooth. Instead, the scrolling is very jumpy. By jumpy, I don't mean that the scroll will go from point A to point B in a snap rather than a smooth motion. Rather, when initiating a scroll, the spreadsheet will sort of vibrate and bounce rapidly back and forth before the scrolling commence. The problem is particularly obvious when scrolling horizontally, and it sometimes won't scroll at all, no matter how many times I try. In such instances, the only way to move around the spreadsheet is either the arrow key or by clicking on the scroll bar. Sometimes initiating a scroll would cause a beachball to appear for a sec or two, and I'm on a Quad core 2012 Retina Macbook Pro. This is a persistent problem and has not be fixed in the last Excel update. This is also not a machine dependent problem, because I experience the same scrolling problem on my 13" Retina Macbook Pro as well. Anyone else having this issue?

The problem is still present.
I am having to reinstall office 2013. 2016 Excel was driving me mad.
This problem, or a related one, is still present in 15.26 (160910)
To reproduce:
Expected results: cells are highlighted and screen scrolls
Actual results: cells are highlighted screen doesn't scroll
Once again, I'm finding it hard to believe that anybody from the team actually tries the product out before pressing the button that inflicts it on us poor saps that are paying for the privilege.

My excel issues expand on this issue. Not only do I get the jumpy scrolling as described but when I scroll up or down, part of the spreadsheet disappears, reappearing only if a part of the previous of following page is partially visible in same frame as current page. Also, when I try to use arrow keys to navigate around spreadsheet, excel 2016 has a hard time counting the cells or something, because it doesn't align correctly unless a part of the previous or following page is also visible in same frame. I don't understand why they can't fix this when it was not an issue in the previous version of excel.
Thanks for the note about 15.21.1... looks like this week's upgrade check hasn't happened for me yet, so I did a manual one to get it.
I wasn't actually expecting much, but to my surprise this does indeed seem to fix things for me at any rate. That stupid animation has now gone when moving with the cursor keys, and the scrolling actually follows the box when holding keys down. The mouse wheel scroll still feels a bit weird, but it's nothing I can put my finger on, and perhaps it's just a side-effect of the shock.
That seems to answer my question about how long it would take, and fingers crossed it wasn't a mistake that they shipped it like this.
