Hello,
I cannot open downloaded Word documents (powerpoint included) that I download onto my computer from email or my online class. This happened after I downloaded Windows 10. My spyware is turned off and it does not change anything. Any tips if there is something else turned on I can't figure out to open them? I tried going through word and in a "repair" view but it still wouldn't open.

I'm really not that smart when it comes to computers, I have basic knowledge. I'm not sure if this is the same, I can't open attachments that are emailed to me. Is that the same as not opening a document in word?
Try R-clicking on the document ..i had ths problem once ..seach the various tabs, there was a 'security' tab that didn't allow opening/editing; it only appears on 'locked' documents. if you find this, unclick it, and the document should open .. don't know if this is your problem, but take a look
What happens when you try to open a document?
Are you trying to open it by using File>Open in Word (after starting the application)?
If you send me a copy of one of the documents, referencing this thread in the covering email message, I will investigate the issue.
