Hello,
I'm currently working on a spreadsheet, and I need three pictures in the header. However, I can't find how to do this in Excel 2016. Did Microsoft remove the option? Does anybody know how to do this?
It's funny because I opened a previous version created in Excel 2011, and it shows the picture and then Excel crashes.

Even though Insert Image option has been reintroduced to Excel 2016 for MAC there is an inconsistency. The image sizes for Format Picture in the Header & Footer is given in inches even when the default sizes for the spreadsheet have been set as metric (cm)? Images inserted in the normal part of the spreadsheet show as cm in the Picture Format Tab! Yes, you can live with this, but it is rather inconsistent. Hope for a fix soon in a new version and that it does not take one year eleven months.
So these monthly updates - Do they still apply to 2017? This feature still doesn't work?

I had a few minutes this morning to ponder whether messing with the XML within a workbook might be a quick 'n dirty work-around. Alas, I don't think this approach is viable. I compared the XML from a new, blank workbook with one that is blank except for having a picture in the header. As you can see simply from the contents, quite a bit happens when a picture is inserted into the header. Page layout is affected. Print settings are affected. A thumbnail is built. A copy of the picture is embedded. It's not as simple as just setting a reference to a picture.

There is irony in that having a picture in the header and footer was a Mac-only feature for many years. It was coveted by Windows users. Now they have it and we don't.
