How to insert a picture in header or footer in Excel 2016?

Hello,

I'm currently working on a spreadsheet, and I need three pictures in the header. However, I can't find how to do this in Excel 2016. Did Microsoft remove the option? Does anybody know how to do this?

It's funny because I opened a previous version created in Excel 2011, and it shows the picture and then Excel crashes.

    "Stay tuned" is vague enough so that if this particular feature never comes to pass they can legitimately claim they never promised it would become available. Obviously, Mr. Spotanski is in the one person who knows best when a particular Excel feature will become available, but even he might not be able to tell us exactly when. A feature has to be built and tested. Knowing more than approximately how long that might take is realistically not an exact science.

    Hi,

    Unfortunately I do not share your optimism...being ICT professional for 27 years, I only believe software vendors (especially Microsoft) until I see the delivered goods.

    For me the most frustrating is the lack of commitment. They should tell me when they will deliver the feature not "stay tuned".

    Different James here - I'm not Spotanski.

    Reading between the lines, when Mr. Spotanski says "Stay tuned" I take that as an extremely positive sign. First, it was not a "No" answer. It also implies something is imminent that Spotanski can't tell us about, yet. After being an MVP for almost 20 years, I've gotten pretty good at reading between the lines when it comes to Microsoft product managers.

    I'll even go further. I think Mr. Spotanski is actually very excited about a whole bunch of great stuff in store for Office 365 for Mac subscribers. Like maybe he's bursting at the seams excited. I don't want to steal Microsoft's thunder, but I really like what's coming in the future.

    Here's how to join:

    Make sure your Mac has a working internet connection, then:

    1. Update Mac OS X. Open the App store and click on the Updates button. Install the updates.
    2. After, in any Office application go to the Help menu and choose Check for Updates to launch the AutoUpdate app.
    3. In AutoUpdate, click the button in the lower right and choose Insider Fast
    4. Let AutoUpdate install updates and then restart your Mac.

    Hi Joe,

    Unfortunately we don't have a workaround today, other than to use Excel 2011. What I can say is that our monthly updates allow us to ship new features to you as soon as they are ready (as opposed to waiting multiple years), and that we realize you're missing a feature that was in the previous version of the product.  Stay tuned :)
