How to insert a picture in header or footer in Excel 2016?

Hello,

I'm currently working on a spreadsheet, and I need three pictures in the header. However, I can't find how to do this in Excel 2016. Did Microsoft remove the option? Does anybody know how to do this?

It's funny because I opened a previous version created in Excel 2011, and it shows the picture and then Excel crashes.

Thank you in advance for your answers

William

After you insert your header go to the Design tab (Header & Footer tools), then select Picture.

It will load as &[Picture] in the header, when you click off of the header the image appears.

Hi Erik - Thanks for asking about this again.  We are hoping to enable this in the coming months.  I wish I could commit to a specific date, but the best I can do is say that we know it's very important. Unfortunately, there have been other very important things that we've had to work on before this.

    Hi James,

You posted this on October 27th, 2015...today we are January 10th, 2017....and nothing has been done.  I can "stay tuned :-)"  but staying tuned for more than a year with NO PROGRESS is no fun.

If you have any update please do so.

    Kind Regards,

    Erik

    Hi,

Unfortunately I do not share your optimism...being ICT professional for 27 years, I only believe software vendors (especially Microsoft) until I see the delivered goods.

For me the most frustrating is the lack of commitment. They should tell me when they will deliver the feature not "stay tuned".

It is weird , it was a feature that was in 2011 , and I used all the time, now not in latest version. The workaround ?  Use version 2011 . If I knew this , I wouldnt have upgraded to a version with lots of features I will never use , and no the one I use all the time .

    Ian
