OneNote Screen Clipping tool HotKeys in Windows 10?

I use MS OneNote. Initially the Windows+S would bring up screen clipping tool..In windows 8.1 Windows+S became for search..so then I used a work around posted on the MS blog which made the Windows+A the screen clipping tool (via regedit).

Now with Windows 10, Window+A is for Action Center, so now my screen clipping tool does not work

How can I fix this?

I tried Windows+Shift+S and that does not work either

Or what else can I change the regedit value to?

This is an issue but there are ways. The link under will take you to a page that explanes the new way.

The only way is to go down by your clock an click the ^ button. There you see a cutting tool image for

 onenote. You right click it -> OneNote icon default -> take screen clipping. Now this icon is your new shortcut(t)

OR you use:

windowsbutton + shift + S

    If the RegKey "ScreenClippingShortcutKey" isn't exist, then you need to create it.

    How Bruno described before, you should go to your Office versions OneNote path by using regedit.

    *(with Office 2007)*HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\OneNote\Options\Other

    (with Office 2013) HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\OneNote\Options\Other

    => normally, you need to choose the highest number available, if more then one version is listed

    In the "Other"-Folder, create a regkey by clicking right mousebutton in the free white space, choose "New", then select the "DWORD-Value"-Key. Then name it **ScreenClippingShortcutKey.**At least you need to doubleclick this key to set a value like 59 for a binding with Y (works very well for me)

    I used Hex "5a", which is the same as Decimal "90" and I have to use Windows Key + Shift + Z as well, oh well.

    Maybe in Windows 11 there will be a nice GUI for setting Windows Key + ? shortcuts.
