Dear All,

I need help from you.

I cannot use Styles in Word 2016 properly, the problem is:

I want to use "Body Text", "Heading", "List Bullet", "List Number". When I click on "Body Text" but it jump to "TOC", it is not exactly "Body Text".

When I click on "Heading 1" it jump to "Heading 2" and next click jump to "Heading 3" and so on.

In previous version I always use these Styles but not faced these Problem.

After I change to this version I facing with this problem.

I use Microsoft Office Home and Business 2016.

Hi everyone!

The Office 2016 December update introduced an issue where the wrong style would get applied if you tried to select a style in the Styles pane.

That issue has been fixed in update 6366.2056, which is rolling out now to Office 365 consumer/small business subscribers. If you don't see the update yet, follow these steps:

  1. Open any Office application and choose File > Account. (If you're using Outlook, choose File > Office Account.)
  2. Under Product Information, choose Update Options > Update Now.

If you're still experiencing issues in 6366.2056, please let us know (best to start a new thread).

Thanks for your patience.

Believe me the bug isn't fixed. When you use Ctrl|Shift|S....Apply Styles ...floating pane appears and you can manually scroll thru all the Styles to pick one. But when the Styles pane is "docked" and not floating the bug appears again .......when you pick a Style in the docked mode the picked Style will jump around on you........

It's been over a month now and having the best software engineers Microsoft still hasn't fixed the original BUG.......

Uggghhh..........it's still costing us more time to format a document, meaning, it's costing us time = money. Those of us that purchased Office 365 with Word 2016 should get a refund ...like with any other product that doesn't work right...or a coupon for a free next purchase or purchase of a License.

If I bought a Honda Accord and the engine blew up due to OEM mechanical failure under warranty.......I'd get a new car!

If all purchasers of Office 365 cried FOUL! we might get something done in a hurry I bet! ........Nuff said.

Earlier this evening, I reported that my styles problem was resolved. I guess I spoke to soon, because things have gone bonkers again. This time the styles just vanish when I attempt to apply styles, the Markup doesn't show, and the scroll doesn't work or does, but after eternity.
