Pinned Items in Office 2016 not sorted alphabetically

The title says it all.  Whereas in Office 2013 pinned recent items automatically got sorted alphabetically this is no longer the case in any programme in Office 2016.  This is extremely frustrating.  Any fix?

    Please restore the ability to sort alphabetically, or else make it possible for users to control how they want their pinned items sorted.

    I have a pinned variety of useful files, some many years old, and cannot always remember the order in which they were created or modified. Alphabetical sorting is much more useful to me.

    I agree with Greg1126.  I keep 25 files in the pinned list.  Having them re-sorted each time they are opened is VERY inefficient!  Why did you ever make such a stupid change?  MS always talks about increasing productivity - this change (of re-sorting the pinned list based upon usage date/time) causes me to be VERY unproductive!

    I have a pinned list of about 15 file names that I use almost daily, and it would be most efficient for me to be able to quickly locate the one I want at the moment. An alphabetized list would be best for speed and efficiency. I can appreciate that some users might prefer a chronological list; so users should be able to choose how they want the file names sorted.

    Just curios, why do you think it would be hard to implement. 

    The MRU is being sorted before presentation, so why do you think it would be hard to implement a switch to allow user control of the sort order?

    Just an observation;

    MS is damned if they do and damned if they don't - it might be nice if it was a user option, but I think in the scheme of things that would be problematic implement.
