Pinned Items in Office 2016 not sorted alphabetically

Apparently, I AM an Insider (not sure how that works), and the problem WAS fixed for a while (yes -- sorted alphabetically). I mainly use Excel so I can't speak for other apps. But, as I said, it is broken again. I just finished applying latest updates and that didn't fix it so I assume the fix was inadvertent and I can only pray they have a change of heart.

Cool, are you saying that for a while the Excel 2016 Recent list was sorted "correctly" <grin>, alphabetically? 

That is encouraging.  I don't use Excel much, mainly for just one file that doesn't require going to the Recent list.

If you are an Office insider, feature changes like that (accidentally) could come and go as versions are pushed out if there is a minor problem with their version control.

Am I the only one who noticed that Excel briefly repaired this problem about a month or two ago? It is broken again, but I was very happy when it was fixed for a short time.

MS actively monitors the uservoice forums and expect suggestions like this to be posted there.  Frankly, for the most part MS does not pay attention to what goes on in this forum.

The title says it all.  Whereas in Office 2013 pinned recent items automatically got sorted alphabetically this is no longer the case in any programme in Office 2016.  This is extremely frustrating.  Any fix?

Please consider putting back the option of alphabetic sorting of pinned docs. in Office again.

I completely agree and am salon very frustrated that pinned docs are no longer available alphabetically in Office 2016.

Windows products have generally always defaulted to sorting alphabetically, allowing one to chose date sorting by date. etc. as an option.
